HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS!
Your gifts — financial, goods, and all of your valuable time — help us change lives. Last year we served over 4,000 people and we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for your continued support.
2019 NEWS:
You are invited to the second of our 2018-2019 Roddan Jubilee lectures on indigenous issues and reconciliation. On Saturday, February 9th at 3pm, Karen Joseph, CEO of Reconciliation Canada, will speak at the SFU Segal Centre in downtown Vancouver. Please register on our Eventbrite page. See you there!
After consulting with many of you, we decided not to participate in the Coldest Night of the Year walk in 2019. We appreciate all of you who have organized, walked, given, and volunteered over the past few years. While the effort has been great, we'd like to explore other ways to work together. Some of you may wish to consider fundraising projects in your community. Please contact Lesley Anderson, Director of Resource Development to talk about your ideas (landerson@firstunited.ca or 604-681-8365 ext. 119).
We are looking forward to working together in 2019. Thanks once again for your tremendous support.
Blessings, The Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne
Executive Director, First United Community Ministry Society, Vancouver, B.C.
